Wolford v. Lopez · ¶61
When our hypothetical young woman visits the restaurant at lunch, her situation may be even more difficult. Unless her place of employment has a gun locker where she can store her gun, she may be unable to leave it behind when she leaves the building. See §134–10.5. And if she disarms before leaving work, she will be vulnerable for that period of time. Even this short period of vulnerability can be deadly: Ms. Caetano was approached by her abusive boyfriend right after leaving work. See Caetano, 577 U. S., at 413 (ALITO, J., concurring in judgment).Read in context ›
