Nor have plaintiffs shown that Cox intended to aid specific instances of infringement. That is because, based on plaintiffs' evidence, Cox does not actually know that specific users will commit infringement using Cox's network. Cox supplies internet connections to a wide range of customers, ranging from single users all the way to smaller regional ISPs. When Cox receives a copyright-violation notice, however, the notice specifes only which connection was used to infringe, not who used it to commit infringement.
