Hikma is a generic drug manufacturer. In 2016, Hikma submitted an ANDA for approval of its generic icosapent ethyl. Hikma opted to file a paragraph IV certification, asserting that Amarin’s method-of-use patents for the SH indication was invalid. Ibid., n. 4.
