The District Court rejected that argument, and, after rejecting other defenses not at issue here, entered summary judgment against all four cruise lines. Id., at 1202–1203. Because the cruise lines had independently traffcked in the confscated property, they were independently liable under Title III, and the District Court awarded Havana Docks more than $100 million from each of the cruise lines.
