No party to this dispute questions the continued validity of Meyer, Pierce, or Parham. For all its concerns about deciding the issue in this posture, the dissent expresses “no doubt that parents have rights, even though unenumerated, concerning their children and the life choices they make.” Post, at 507. And the precedent recognizing those rights controls our assessment of whether the parents are likely to succeed on the merits.
